Frequently asked
If your question isn't here, the contact form reaches a person, not a queue.
Where are Rockvale boots made?
In the United States. The facility and state will be named on the Our Standard page once production documentation is confirmed.
Are the boots ASTM rated or Berry compliant?
Both are in progress. We publish a certification only against written documentation, so no badge appears on any product page yet.
How much break-in should I expect?
Cement construction with a flexible midsole means the boots move with you from the first wear. Expect the collar and flex point to settle over two to three shifts rather than two to three weeks.
What size should I order?
Standard U.S. sizing, 6 to 13 in half sizes. Measure your foot in the evening using the Size & Fit guide and take the larger size if you fall between two.
Do you ship outside the United States?
We ship across the United States, including Puerto Rico and APO/FPO addresses. For international orders, send us the destination and quantity and we will confirm options and pricing.
Can I return or exchange a pair I've worn?
Try them indoors on a clean floor before committing. Unworn boots in original packaging can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery.
What does the warranty cover?
Defects in materials or workmanship are replaced with a new pair. Normal wear, abrasion, and outsole life are not defects.
Do you sell to agencies, units, or departments?
Yes. Use the contact form for volume or purchase-order enquiries; we reply during business hours.
Who is Sprytak, and how is Rockvale related?
Sprytak LLC builds duty and tactical equipment — plate carriers and vests, pouches and belts, uniform apparel, gloves and insignia work. Rockvale Boots is Sprytak's footwear sub-brand, not a separate company: one storefront, one support desk, one warranty.
Where is Sprytak equipment made?
In the United States. Country of manufacture is stated on every product page, and Berry or GSA compliance is claimed only on the specific models that carry it.
Do you sell body armor or ballistic plates?
No. Our carriers and vests are load-bearing platforms only and carry no ballistic rating. Nothing we sell is protective armour, and where a product has no stated safety certification, none should be assumed.
How do I place an order for equipment?
Add what you need to the cart and send it as an order request, or use the contact form directly. We confirm sizes, availability, lead time and any volume pricing by email or phone within one business day.
Do you accept purchase orders from departments?
Yes. Send the PO number, billing and shipping addresses, item numbers, sizes and your target delivery date and we return a written quote with unit pricing, freight and lead time. W-9 and vendor onboarding paperwork are supplied on request.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimum for standard items. Custom builds — changed colorway, materials, hardware, pocket layout or applied insignia — are quoted against quantity, and the price per unit falls as the count rises.
Can you customize gear to our agency's specification?
Yes, on quantity orders. We change colorway, materials, hardware, closure type, pocket and placard layout and sizing range, and produce agency name tapes, badge panels and embroidered insignia in-house from your artwork.
What are typical lead times?
In-stock items ship in one to two business days. Volume and custom orders are quoted with a production lead time when we send pricing, and that date is confirmed in writing before production starts.
How should I size uniform apparel and carriers?
Trousers and shirts follow standard U.S. uniform sizing; carriers and vests are sized by torso and cummerbund range. Measure against the Size & Fit guide, and for issue programs ask for a fit kit of sample sizes before the main order is cut.
How do I care for boots, carriers and uniforms?
Clean and air dry, never heat dry. The Care & Maintenance page covers leather conditioning, carrier hand-washing, hook-and-loop cleaning, laundering uniform fabric and off-season storage.
Do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?
Yes — the United States, Puerto Rico and APO/FPO addresses. International destinations are quoted individually.
